About the auction house
Ensign midget camera. Model, produced in 1935. Pressing a catch at one end of the body enabled the entire back to be removed and, inside, film loading was made easier by having spools that swung in and out of the body. So, keep in mind that this camera is a collectible, just not a very practical user collectible. Folded had no protruding surfaces to catch on clothing etc. Original sales box, in very good condition, complete with instructions. Part of the fenton collection.
‘ on the inside of the camera to either side of the bellows is inscribed ‘english prov patent no 15568 1934’. The midget came to the market in 1934. It was quite tatty, with large areas of the wrinkle finish paint.
